A Reminder for Parents & Carers At Wyvern Academy, we understand that parents and carers may sometimes need to speak with a member of staff about an important matter. Please remember that we operate a 48-hour policy for parental meetings. This means that, wherever possible, meetings should be requested in advance and staff may not always be available to see parents or carers immediately. Our staff have busy schedules, including teaching, meetings, duties and other responsibilities. We therefore need to ensure that any meeting can be arranged at a suitable time and that the appropriate member of staff is available to give your concerns the time and attention they deserve. If you need to speak with a member of staff: Please contact the school office to request an appointment. Allow up to 48 hours for the meeting to be arranged. Please do not expect to be able to see staff immediately upon arrival at school. If your query is urgent, please let the office know so that we can advise you on the most appropriate course of action. We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation in helping us to ensure that our school runs smoothly and that staff are able to support all our students effectively. We look forward to welcoming Year 7 and 11 back to school tomorrow. Breakfast club is running from 8:15am, with all students expected on site by 9AM. Year 7 will meet in the Canteen and Year 11 will meet at the fire assembly point ready for assembly. Co-curricular and Intervention are running so all students finish at 3:30PM. Students will be issued their new tie in their welcome assembly. Year 8, 9 and 10 return to the Academy on Monday 7th September and should arrive at normal time and meet at the fire assembly points ready for assembly.
